I changed the logo and reposted the file. Some "new" text was in the wrong font. Not funky fonts; wonky fontier. I fixed those, standardizing on the ever popular Times New Roman. The Times font was developed by the London Times newspaper to save paper during the world war to end all wars -- it was the first proportionally spaced font for mass printing. They liked it and it caught on elsewhere. The upright font (as opposed to italicized, like all upright fonts, was called "Roman). That term appended to the newer derivative styles such as "Times New Roman" is linguistic backwash, like appending "bovine" to the names of farm animals -- for a few it's redundant and for others, it's just wrong. You just have to love something caused by a war, preserved to make money and with a ridiculous name. ----- Original Message ---- From: Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> To: Aquatic Gardeners Association Board <aga-sc@thekrib.com> Sent: Monday, February 13, 2006 1:45:04 PM Subject: Re: [AGA-sc] Snow Job -- or report produced inbetween shoveling other stuff Other than noting you're using the old logo and the fonts look a little funky where you substituted new text, this is great news. I suppose we'll lose some money this year, which will bring things back down. _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
