AGA Web page -- should be more than a list of the events and speakers --

I can try to draft something and maybe one of you could pretty it up and html-erize it.
Again, let's take the strategy of "do it, let SFBAAPS review it for a couple days, then put it up." I don't want them to feel like they're not participating, but most just aren't. So it's kind of a pickle here.
Avoiding Cheryl burnout -- CR has all of TAG, membership, other layout stuff like pamphlets (not necessarily her job but she seems to end up involved anyway), AGA2K6 registration -- a TAG will be in production when the convention regs will be going into it's busiest period. Since I am going to be recording all the transactions anyway, maybe I should take the registration off CR's hands -- can the web page auto-check that regs are members?
The registration will be a piece of cake. No, the web page doesn't auto check. But in 2003 and 2004, both Cheryl and I were recording each registration as it came in. It's just not that difficult to check 120 names over the course of several months.
Now e-mailing folks confirmation, dealing with tech support issues, hoboy is that a drainer.
Avoiding Erik burnout -- I'm at a loss here.
[in Darth Vader] THAT....is unavoidable now. [Larry] But I can save you! [Vader] You already have, Luke, I mean Larry.Seriously, the absolutely best thing everyone can do here is just fill in whenever possible so this !&@ thing happens and we move on to 2007. The biggest burnout for me right now is when we hit logjam after logjam with SFBAAPS. I am at my best with lots of work but it moving along. I don't lie awake at nights after e-mailing all the speakers, it happens when another day has gone by with Jim not answering back about their preferences.
Tshirts -- Design and buy new ones and get Barb or Ann to sell at convention along with DVDs at the special (no-shipping) convention price?
Sure, we can do this again. We should find out if SFBAAPS has a convention logo in mind, and if not, let's design our own for the T-shirts.
MBA -- Due to potential traffic issues, ample slack time should be
..In addition, I propose that Kathy and I rent a minivan and drive back early with worker bees to insure the place isn't deserted like in 2004.
Encourage other SFBAAPS folks to follow Leon's example and get off their duffs and do some work (it's a matter of diligience more than an exercise in hope).
I think there are some who are doing it, and some who aren't. Leon and Michael are those who are doing it. I don't know about Bill Harada because PR hasn't started, but he may be a good starter. But I haven't seen any evidence of others jumping in -- I suspect they need specific tasks.
2007 -- Time for Amano again? Time for Christel again? Florida in Nov? Pick a place and get hotel contract as early as possible so we can focus on the other stuff.
I think we should do Florida. It's past hurricane season. Can we do any collecting? How about FAN or other location tours?
Lots of options for guest speakers. I still can't beleive Jim suggested Amano for 2006 yesterday. We shouldn't have him back that often.
Hey, Ricky suggested some folks for speakers: "Well, I met a few people in Asia who might be cheaper to import than Europeans. One right off is Wayne Sham although his English is not great. The other lives in Niigata, Sugai he speaks perfect English is atop ranker in the ADA contest. He is the reason I got second in the Iwagumi Challenge. So, he's won it two years straight."
