Jim is asking about Christel again.  Seems to me she just spoke
  at NEC
last year; we'd be better off getting one of Karen's
  suggestions.  Any
thoughts from you guys?

Erik,
I read Karens suggestions, and I think it
might be a good opportunity to introduce some new blood to the key presenters
in this area. I have the feeling that the demand for speakers in the aquatic
  plant arena will continue.
We exhausted my speaker list (Prof Tan,
Claus, Dave), but I did have one more thought. Would it be reasonable to try
for Kasselmann again. I thought her recent articles in TAG on her Brazil trip
were about the best I've seen on field expeditions that I've seen in a while.
She did bring out another book here in the US this past year, which had more
of an Aquarium focus. She is a "name" in the hobby.
Just a
  thought,
Jim.

Karen definitely has some ideas (see the message thread
below). I just wanted to figure out if you or SFBAAPS had any other preferred
speakers before we ran off and contacted someone.

November too cold? Too hot? How would you like to spend part of it in San
Francisco? Cable cars, Lombard St., Chinatown -- and a simply huge aquatic
