[AGA-sc] AGA2K6 blurb

This is the blurb I plan to seque in my little slice of the September/October
issue of AFM. Any comments or suggestions?

I would be remiss if I did not mention that aquarium plant event of the year:
aquatic gardeners from around the world will be gathering in San Francisco this
November 12th -14th at the Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) Convention. The
AGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to disseminate information about
aquatic plants, study and improve upon techniques for culturing aquatic and bog
plants in aquariums and ponds, increase interest in aquatic gardening, and
promote fellowship among its members. This will be the sixth such gathering of
experts, novices, friends and fellow hobbyists. The convention will be held at
the Sheraton Gateway Hotel -- San Francisco Airport. As of this writing the
speaker line-up is still taking final form but will include the award winning
aquascaper Jeff Senske of Aquatic Design Group
(http://www.aquariumdesigngroup.com/ ), Ricky Cain back from his recent visit
with Amano in Japan speaking on Iwagumi (a Japanese art of rock grouping), Eric
Do
on invertebrates plus speakers on topics of water/plant chemistry, methods of
practical gardening and more. The convention will conduct one of the worldâs
largest aquatic plant auctions, offering rare plants and prize specimens. Also,
at the banquet, AGA President Erik âthekrib.comâ Olson will announce the awards
for the Sixth Annual AGA Aquascaping Contest. Following the banquet there are
plans for a live aquascaping contest. Also, a special field trip is planned for
Friday to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. Details in their final form can be found
at http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/convention.html . Hope to see you there!
