[AGA-sc] A Strange Web Story

Story time!

I was double-checking the TFH ads for the potential sponsors
spreadsheet, when I noticed that the AGA's web site address was wrong in
the Web Directory portion of the magazine. Of course, our ad is correct,
but their directory listed www.aquaticgardeners.com. Well you can bet I
e-mailed the guy (and his boss) regarding the error, but in total there
will be three incorrect issues. :-(

Next I looked up www.aquaticgardeners.com and there's just a registry
placeholder page. No site. Curiouser and curiouser.

So I did a WhoIs, and turns out the owner of that domain name is Don
Matakis. Hey! I know that name! He's an AGA member. He also owns
freshwateraquariumplants.com and Aquaticscapes.com.

So I e-mailed him asking for help, and he responded that he got the
domain name on the AGA's behalf mostly so that no one else could use it.
He will be happy to post a link to the official AGA web site and when
the TFH ad has run its course, he will gift the domain name to us.

Nice, huh?
