Re: [AGA-sc] [AGA-mcm] AGA new member (fwd)

Diana forwarded your email to some other AGA members because she generally
eschews the use of compressed CO2 in favor setups such as she describes in her
book.

Re CO2 info, you can take a look here:

http://www.aquariumfish.com/aquariumfish/t/alist40.aspx?category=The+Aquarium+Fish+AquaBotanist&cid=4204

and here

http://webpages.charter.net/bobalston/AquaticPlants.htm#High%20Pressure%20CO2

and here for info and even some products:

 http://www.rexgrigg.com/./sale.html

Customaquatic.com is another place to look for CO2 tanks and solenoids, etc.

Arizona Aquatic is not a bad place to shop either.

http://www.azgardens.com/

For pressurized CO2 the only must haves are the tank, regulator and a metering
valve like the Clippard or a Swagelock. A solenoid is not essential but if you
plug it into your lights timere, that will save you some CO2 but turning it off
at night when the plants aren't going to be using it.

You can feed the CO2 line into the intake of a cansister filter or build a
"reactor" (i.e., CO2-water mixing chamber) yourself like these:

http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/

or this one for only a few bucks and some PVC parts:

http://www.aquaticscape.com/articles/co2reactor.htm

There's tons of info on CO2 on the APD:

http://fins.actwin.com/aquatic-plants/

And you can pose questions on the AGA forums:

http://forum.aquatic-gardeners.org/

Have plants have fun,

Dear Glenn,

Since I only deal with natural systems, I cannot answer your question about CO2
injection systems. I would pose your question to other folks in Aquatic
Gardeners Assoc.
