Just closing up on this issue.... Scott: clubs using vendor space to sell things must pay split according to auction rules, and that's the way we've done it in the past. Erik: clubs don't have to pay a split, because we haven't called it out explicitly this year. We did it in the past? Larry: They must pay, but we've never had a policy nor had to deal with it in the past. Karen: Never done it before, but should be no problem telling clubs their space is for non-commercial use only. Doubts locals will be able to get it together to have stuff for sale. Cheryl: let it slide with SFBAAPS, but not with nearby local clubs (SVAS and SAS). Don't mention it on conheads at all. Do mention it to the individual club contacts. Cheryl's is the most prudent course of action, in my opinion. By not mentioning it to SFBAAPS, there won't be a Gomberg retort, and they probably will not be able to get anything together anyway. I will bring it up with Christine (SVAS) and Kirsten (SAS) when I e-mail the vendors about the set-up times. Along those lines, I'm trying to tie that down now too (partly because Kathy's off in California this week, and was completely swamped before she left and will be when she gets back). I'm e-mailing with Larry to nail down the setup/breakdown times for the vendor room so we can in turn get this to the vendors. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
