I never thought that it was a matter of whether we would be stuck with inventory. As a nonprofit, we should have some consideration for not competing with for-profits, especially if we were going to underprice. There is some line between offering what can't be easily gotten elsewhere and what can -- although this "line" has never been more than a penumbra for AGA -- case in point, the DW book -- although I suppose, perhaps this extra outlet is appreciated enough by DW that it helps keep her on the job. Oriental Aquarium's book is darned hard to find. Topica somewhat be less so. If we're selling autographed copies or something else that a person can't get spending 5 minutes on line, then we should do it. Otherwise, what is the reason for doing it? Would we actually be providing a community service or just broadening the AGA offerings? And is DW looking for more work? Should we at least mention this to her before we add to inventory? sh ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cheryl Rogers" <cheryl@wilstream.com> To: "AGA Board" <aga-sc@thekrib.com> Sent: Saturday, October 28, 2006 9:31 AM Subject: [AGA-sc] [Fwd: FW: Inspired Aquariums wholesale cost] >A case of "Inspired Aquariums" will cost us $260 plus shipping. > > I have seen the book, but haven't read it thoroughly.
