This tank is a little different though, because
people don't have to figure out how to get it home. I say, raffle the IA
tanks and auction the bowfront. Or raffle one IA tank and auction the
others. But definitely auction the bowfront.
There are lots of people (like me) who will buy $5
of raffle tickets just to support the club, but won't spend a penny more, no
matter what the prize is, because the odds of winning are so poor. I'm
just not a gambler.<g>

Raffle isn't to be expected to be a major income source -- nor
are aquaria in auction if past history is any indication, and what else is
there to go on besides blind whim?
2003 raffle 1 item => $313 from about 120 attendees
Tanks in auction brought in $115, $275, and $255. We didn't record
auction info item by item with desciptions but those were the highest revenue
producing items -- conceivably the tanks brought in even less but
doubtful.

I know ditto, here.
Kingfish I think should be earlier with the
other sponsors rather than the end.
I am still not convinced on
raffling anything vs 3 tanks....
