Certainly. The problem is, some people sign up to be volunteers and then don't do the work. Some people pitch in and help "on-the-fly." I have always been a little sad that volunteers, don't get a discount or a comp, but I don't know how to psychically predict which people will actually work. :-) This is where the free year's membership idea has always been an attractive one for me. I can EASILY add four issues to the memberships of everyone who volunteered. > >>> I doubt that the kind of money we would pay for jobs would give us any >>> stiking improvement in the number of hires or performance. (again, specifically the membership data > base) I'll second what Karen said and I'll raise her one. My TAG volunteer hours are also more palatable to DAVID because he knows I'm getting paid. Even if it's a trifle compared to the work, it represents to him that I'm not being taken advantage of. So it upps the HAF (Husband Appreciation factor). > > Feel free to jump in here, Cheryl <g> (maybe she's away for the weekend... > she's not usually shy ;-) Not away. RESTING. And reticence has never been my strength, I'm afraid. Cheryl _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
