Whenever my email address needs to be posted publicly for AGA purposes I would actually prefer to use my aug182005-gen@yahoo.com . This is an alias that sends mail directly to my L_Lampert address but I can dispose of if it gets to much spam in the future. Erik if you could make that change I would really appreciate it!!! :-)

So as AGA President do I have an obligation to respond to this guy or can I just consider it spam?

Your email address is posted on the AGA website. You might want to set up screen email account/address for public display. Then the Husksters won't clutter your personal mail. Doesn't solve the problem but at least it means you only have to deal with it when you're doing AGA mail, and so are on company time instead of your own ;-)
