Subject: PRESS RELEASE- Takashi Amano Photography Exhibition in Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography

Dear ADA products distributors, and aquarium magazine editors,

I am writing this e-mail, asking a favor of you.

Mr. Takashi Amano will have landscape photography exhibition in Tokyo in April.

For past 15 years, Mr. Amano visited Sado, an island located off the coast of Niigata, many times, and took landscape photographs. These landscapes gave inspiration for his creation of the Nature Aquarium layout. (You can see some photographs in Mr. Amano's Nature Aquarium World II book.  In this exhibition, he would like to show the beauty of Sado, and introduce its landscapes.

We would like to promote this event, and we would like to ask your help to introduce this event on your website, or magazine.

For visitors outside Japan, who come to Tokyo, and visit Mr. Amano's photography exhibition, we welcome guest visit even in week days to our Nature Aquarium Gallery, if the visitor visit Niigata with exhibition ticket stub.

So if you have any planted aquarium hobbyist friends, visiting Japan in April or May, please inform about this event.

For graphic, I have uploaded the exhibition poster graphics (AI file and PDF file) on our FTP server.

Sado is an island located off the western coast of long stretched Honshu island of Japan. In spite of its small area, 330mile2 island is in the junction line where warm Tsushima current, and cold Liman current meet, and southern and northern strain plants are co-inhabiting, and it has unique natural environment like epitome of rich nature of Japan. Western coastline landscapes are composed of sharply-angled rocks washed off by heavy surf. The highly towering mountains are closely located to the coastlines, and the river pours its water into the ocean in short distance, and there are many beautiful mountain streams.

I have visited Sado frequently for past 10 years, and photographed its precious nature, including photographs taken at 40m under the sea, and panoramic view taken from the highest mountain Mt. Kimpoku (1,117m high). In these trips, I have visited pristine cedar forest, comparable to Yakushima, a UNESCO’s world heritage natural property and had a chance to shoot rare wildflowers. The changes of seasons in Sado are very clear; harsh winter snowfall, plants sprout all at once in spring, wild flowers bloom in profusion in summer, and silent autumn.  Each season has its distinctive taste from the top of the high mountain to the coastline. In Sado, we still can see unique landscape formed by the nature and climate of Sado. I wish many people know more about rich nature of Sado.
