Hi John, We haven't heard from you on this matter. Are you still interested? Best, Cheryl
Yes, I am still interested. Sorry about the lack of response, head colds and work got in my way. I've been able to find one example of directory work I've done, and I'll attach it to this email. The others are being more difficult to dig up. From what described earlier about the project, I'm really only interested in the behind the scenes stuff. The scope of the necessary contact, combined with my natural introversion, would likely mean an incomplete result and disappointment on all sides. I'll bite off what I know I can chew. On the tech end, I can work with CSV just fine. In the sample I'm sending, each section listing came to me as CSV, with the regional subheads as a field value. I did a bit of search-and-replace on the files to get tagged text for QuarkXpress, and built the listings that way. I now know a bit of the Python scripting language, and I'm sure I could automate that a bit more. Also, I could take the privacy info as a separate file, as long as it has a key to match with the contact info. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I've got a bunch of ideas on how this could work! Let me know if you'd like to see more of my work. Enthusiastically yours, John

I have worked as a graphic designer in the past, producing directories and other documents involving lots of repetitive information for several non-profit organizations. I currently work in prepress for aprinting company, so I know how to make a document that will print right.I have industry-standard graphics and office software, a good working knowledge of databases, and serious attention to detail. Confidentiality is not an issue, I've worked on many projects that involve proprietary information. If you don't mind using a new member (as of today, this request got me tofinally sign up) for this project, I'd like to find out more. If you'd like to see some samples of my work, I can dig some up in the next few days. Thank you for your consideration, John Auterman jaut@jaut.com
