Well, I'd tell him it's still in initial planning but we're looking towards Atlanta in early November 2008. Does that seem fair and accurate enough to give him some feedback quickly?

Subject: Convention volunteering question

Larry, Cheryl, et al,

I am interested in volunteering however I can, but I need to know more
information about where it is planned to be held. I have a lot of
resources, experience and knowledge with Unix, Mac OS X, Adobe's design
software (2D, video, web), XHTML/XML/CSS, PDF, programming in a number
of scripting languages, SQL databases, etc. I also have experience with
photography, video, post-production, dvd creation. Quite a lot
actually, except for planted tanks which I am still figuring out (hence
my wanting to attend a convention!).

If there is any information regarding what you are looking for
volunteer-wise, where the convention is (likely) to be held, and if
known (roughly) some date(s) please let me know.
