Re: [AGA-sc] Fwd: RE: AGA 2008 Agreement

Well, the noise protection thing ought to be mutually applied. If they want to drop it from us then we should drop it from them, or so we should maintain.

Other than noise, I don't think they mussed with it very much but there appears to be some eyecatchers here and there.

They agreed to $42 banqs, all inclusive (there's goes the gravy on the taters ;-)  )

They changed to comps rooms from

2 for 1st 125 and 1 for each 20 thereafter

to

1 for each 50 -- that's a hit but not a really bad one, worth a few hundred maybe, depending on attendance.

They added back in that AGA is responsible for unsold rooms. I thnk we have had some liability for that in the past.

There might be other tidbits. This definitely will require a line by line andonly because of the document lock. If they send the doucument to us again in Protected form, I say tell them to go to hell, they're either imcompenent or assholes and I don't want to deal either. And you can tell them I said was so mad we threaten to pullout entirely. What the hell kind of way is that to negoation a document? If they can't conduct a decent negotiation, then how the heck can they run a service business?

Attached here you will find te Sheraton's responses to
our proposed changes to their Agreement.

Unfortunetly they did not use the "Track Changes"
feature in Word so I can't give an in depth analysis
until I do a line by line comparison. I have already
responded back to them and asked them to redo it with
the changes tracked.

Our contact Josh Baker is out until Monday so not much
will likely happen until then.

It does appear that they rejected some of the more
aggressive things we asked for like the amendment to
the noise clause that I added, but they accepted the
lower contract value based on the $4000 food and bev
garantee in liue of the $6000 original.

They also agreed to add more space if we exceed our
room nights provided its available.

Anyway we are closer but I am still not sure how close
until either I do a line by line or they send me their
changes.

Thanks,

Larry
