Conventions are something our members clearly want. Even those who don't participate directly benefit from the trickle down of information. I can think of no better way for us to spend our money, as long as we do it wisely. Larry and Scott have beaten down this contract about as far as I think it's going to go. There are good reasons for holding the convention in Atlanta, even if we know it will cost more than some venues might. We knew DC would be expensive, and that turned out OK, in spite of some rough edges. From what Scott has said about the numbers, it sounds like it will work in Atlanta too.
