Sure -- that sounds like fun. The 120 I sent the pic of has the fastest growing plants I've ever had -- most probably because there are 12 adult juruparis and 20 year old baby royal farlowellas in the tank.

Janine got Luis Navarro to agree to the main talk during the convention.  But I was mulling around what might be good to do on Friday afternoon.  Wanna work together on "Low tech set-ups and why they work?"  I think it's kind of fun to look at some people's tanks that "shouldn't" work, based on currently accepted practices, but clearly work very nicely, then try to puzzle out HOW the plants' needs are being met.  You usually CAN figure it out if you think about it a bit.

I know that I am heretical in AGA, but I've got a bunch of tanks that are VERY low tech, but with T5 lighting, and they look good. Pix of my 120 gallon with Satanoperca jurupari in it enclosed -- the big things are skins of canteloupe. If you get really stuck, and want me to, I would be glad to show pix and blab. If not, no problem.

We're still short a plant speaker for NEC and Janine is getting desperate.  Does anyone have Luis' contact info? (not that she'd need to be desperate to use Luis... the desperation comes from the time crunch) Any other ideas besides Luis?  Any of you guys doing talks? 
 
Janine wanted to have speakers wrpped up by tonight but I was away over the weekend, and didn't get her  message until now.
