[AGA-sc] Projector

Hi folks,

The bad news is that my digital projector gave up the ghost at NEC. (not the bulb… I had a spare, and we tried that) I made the decision not to put money into it, as it is old technology at this point, and repairs tend to be expensive.

The good news is that I bought a new one. (Actually, Scott and I ran out on Friday night of NEC and scoured the local stores for a good machine at a reasonable price) The machine I bought is slightly larger/heavier than the old one, but is much brighter, and also higher resolution.

While I do use it for my presentations as well (although they also promote AGA) one of the main reasons I bought the first projector was so that we’d have one available for our conventions. I picked up the entire cost of that one. I paid about $1,015 for the new projector plus a 3 year full protection warrantee which also covers the bulb. (this is about what I paid for the first one by itself) I was hoping that maybe AGA could chip in toward this.

I’ll let you guys talk it over and see if you think this is fair, and how much you think the club should contribute. I do know that renting from hotels locally would have cost us a LOT over the last few conventions.
