Sure, good idea. At worst we clip one of our own blurbs to fit it. I'll add it to the message about the plants.

FAN has (so quietly) supported AGA for so long, could we offer them a free one-time ad in TAG promoting the new plants? We donât have to tell anyone.

If you think that Amano will reimburse us for his plants, then I would just tell FAN that and indicate that we were hoping for a separate donation for the auction.
Absolutely we'd love to showcase any new plants. If they will get me text and photos I'll figure out how to do that on the web site and maybe in the program as well. If they have flyers we can put those in the welcome packet. Or we can set them up with some space at a table. Looks like we have some tables going spare in the vendor room. :-(

Oy Veh! I was afraid of this, or at least experienced mild heartburn yesterday and attributed it to this possibility, well, to this and chili cheeseburger I had for lunch. But anyway, FAN understands the Amano plants to be FAN's convention donation.
Hey folks, you want I should tell them this Amano order is separate from the beloved and financially critical FAN plant donation and that we'll cover the expenses of this order and would be happy to showcase any plants they wish? I expect we'll be reimbursed by Amano for the plants.
Or I can just go along with FAN's understanding that this would be the convention donation figuring Amano can't possibly use all these plants -- although we'd have to rebag them for auction sometime between Amano demo and the Sunday Morning.
All other comments and suggestions are welcome.

Dear Scott,
FAN would be happy to donate plants to AGA for Mr. Amano as we have in the past. Hopefully afterwards you can auction the plants off to raise money for the Association.
Also, FAN has developed two aquarium plants new to the industry and would like to showcase them during your Convention. We would like to send several plants of each new variety in order to get the advanced hobbyist reaction. We plan to release these plant to the trade in January of 09. We would like to send them to you the week prior to the Convention.
You will be happy to know that most of the plants Mr. Amano requested are available. I will mark on your list below the plants that are not available so that you can find them elsewhere or ask for a substitute.
We can send the plants as you requested to the below address on Monday, Oct 20.
If you would be so kind, I would ask you to do me a favor and send along an invitation to Mr. Amano to visit our nursery in Ft. Lauderdale during his visit to the US if he has time. I don't have his email or I would send the invitation along myself.
Marcela will coordinate the shipping so if there are any questions please direct them to her.
Regards,
Brad

Subject: Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) special orderBelow is the list of plants that Mr. Amano has asked us to have ready for him at the AGA convention in Nov. Because we will need to grow out these plants to meet Mr. Amano's specification, we need to receive the plants as soon as possible. Therefore, going through a FAN distributor has proven impractical. We therefore would greatly appreciate if you could ship the plants OVERNIGHT, at our expense, as soon as it is conveniently possible for you to do so. Amano will need approximately 4-5 of each and we realize that you might not be able to provide all of the items reqested. We also realize this is a big request and greatly appreciate your help.
You may contact me via return email or by telephone at 732-687-8178 if have any questions re payment or other related matters. If you need an immediate payment, please phone and I'll give you a credit card number to use.
