I was wondering what the rest of you thought about the
possibility of inviting Phil onto the BOD. He certainly put a tremendous
amount of effort into the convention, and seems to be on track to continue his
work for AGA going forward. The Atlanta convention ould have been much harder
without his “on the ground” help. I think we need to consider “growing”
this group to include more people to share the work. Phil not only is a hard
worker, but seems to be someone that gets along well with everyon else on the
board. What do you all think? Likewise., I hope you don’t think I was overstepping
my boundaries, but I invited Ben Van Dinther to join the Management Committee.
He also worked very hard on the convention on a number of fronts, and has
expressed an interest in becoming more involved in the “work” of
AGA… I don’t think we can afford to turn away that kind of enthusiasm!
Cheryl and I started to have a conversation at the convention about other
people whom we might want to ask to join the MC, but then work got in the way
of finishing the conversation!<g> Do any of you have any other names to
put forth? This is the time to “catch” people, when enthusiasm is
still high from the convention! Karen |
