I have strong misgivings about general elections.  My experience is that you 
end up with few people voting because they just don't know the candidates.  At 
the same time, you can get a militant (and usually difficult) few who can drum 
up enough votes among their cronies to get on the board, then make life 
difficult enough for the real core working group that they all quit in disgust. 
 I've seen it too many times in too many hobby organizations.

I would be willing to entertain the possibility of elections from the MC, 
though, and that is a larger group.  We could even invite people onto the MC on 
a volunteer and you're in basis. (although as it is, I think we try to snap up 
anyone who shows any interest.<g>

No, he did not say anything specific to me at all.  I just think he would be an 
asset, and I really think we need some new blood. (worker bees?<g>)

I want to keep my eye on Ben... I think he is another one with BOD potential.  
He has put his money where his mouth is, and jumped right in and gotten to 
work.  That's what we need.  He just hasn't been around as long as Phil has.
