post very often either. With Paul and Mike, I have no problem leaving
them on, just in case they want to add their “two cents” at some

JL, I think he would be troublesome. He lacks that infinite humility that, for
example, I possess ;- ) More importantly he seems to have some very
negative views of some of the Board members. The last time we tried to work
with him he indeed did a sizeable amount of work yet it led to a
rather uncomfortable end, mainly, to hear him tell it, because a couple of
our Board members are so old fashioned an out of touch with reality and modern
technology. << I suppose you’re right. Though he seemed more open

the hobby to get that crew involved and enthusiastic about _AGA_ as an integral
part of the hobby. Speaking of Ghazanfar, he surprised me. (in a nice
way) I’ve always felt a little guarded with him… partly
because I think I’m one of those “old guard” people that crew
rails about, and second because I suspect, knowing his ethnic background and
having met his wife, that I, as a woman, am a bit of a second class citizen
anyway. I had wanted to attend the Crypt session, partly because I was
interested, and partly just to show support for what he was doing. But it
just didn’t work out time-wise. So other than a polite “Hi,
how are you doing,” we hardly spoke until toward the end of the day on
Saturday when he sought me out and gave me two new species of Crypts. So
maybe he’s growing up too. What about Ghazanfar on the MC to represent the “Crypt
farmers”? (seriously under-represented in the hobby as a whole right
now, and with a lot of interest in Europe) OK here are the proposed names so far, just to keep them from
getting spread out in too many posts: BOD: Phil Edwards Haven’t heard any other names proposed for the BOD at this
point MC: Ben Van Dinther – asked and accepted Bailin Shaw – (I didn’t realize he wasn’t on
there… He has done enough that I think he should be) Jason Baliban (is he tight with the Ghazanfar/JL crowd? If
so, he could be our man) Larry Bugg Efren Leonidas (make him permanent) What about (I don’t know if any of them would be
interested, but they all are reasonable and all have been helpful): Ben Belton Kirsten Edsmoe Tomoko Schum Karen |
