The point of the AGA forum was to build a sense of community. I don't
know whether it has been successful in this regard. I think the AGA needs help redefining itself instead of reacting to other influences. As much as it pains me to blaspheme against the AGA I think I'll have to go with Karen on this and say it might be in our best interest to focus our energies on one or two forums run by other people. APC and The Planted Tank come to mind immediately. I think it was a great idea and a good thing to put the effort into trying. In the end other folks got there before we did, had more resources to put into it, and came up with a product people use more than ours. |
