Re: re-siliconing busted tank,

Re: the broken glass on a 125 gallon tank. I'd be very cautious in this
situation. The glass on a tank this big is very thick and not all that easy
to crack. You should find out, if at all possible why it broke in the first
place. Is there a major error someplace on one of the other panels
resulting in uneven stress or tension? i.e. fit etc. Or was the tank put
on an uneven surface before, or does it require bracing but doesn't have
any?

I know that the saying goes 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth', but in a
case like this you may wind up with 125 gallons spilling all over the floor
(plus fish). Since it's a big tank, have a glazier deal with it as opposed
to fixing it yourself. Someone who works with glass for a living may notice
something about this tank that may make the difficulty of transporting it to
the workshop a bargain in the long run.
