RE: RO Water Additives?

Is there anything wrong with just using straight RO water? I have been using
straight RO for my borelli, macmasteri, and hoignei. The borelli have even
spawned in it. I don't have an electron tester so I only know that my RO
water less than or equal to 1 dGH. Is this too soft? I check the pH
frequently and it seems to be stable (at about 6.8).

Thanks,
Eric

I mix my RO with tap water (~20 mS) and/or peat filtered tap
water (pH ~4, ~12 mS) depending on species and if it's breeding
or raising fry. I may mix in some oak extract if I have no peat
water or need really low pH.
