Eric, I never use o2 tabs, I use styro's with the heatpack as you mentioned you already had. I've never really had problems when you deal with good styro's and heatpacks. Their is always a risk i think, but you can limit those. I have no expereince with the o2 tabs, but feel you should be able to go without using those.
