mine does have a spade shaped tail and the blueish color you mentioned. The
female is goldish with a black ring around her eye and a black line that
comes down from it on a diagonal. It looks more aggie like from the two books
I've looked at I have the cichlid books from tetra both the one on dwarf and
the one on all types. And that's what I was going with. The store I bought
them at doesn't usually carry them but, got some locally and I questioned the
guy a couple times and he said they were cac's. He could have been wrong a
couple times. They still have a nice fish store though. It's called the
