I have a fry of over 40 cacatouides. At four of them I just notices first signs of colour. Interesting (for me) thing is that all of them seem to be red. My male was red and the female was orange (in the terminology I use, correct me if I am wrong, orange has orange evenly spread throughout the fins, no rounded spots as in red). If it continues, I mean all of them get red finally, it will mean that red gene is dominant over the orange one. Do you confirm it by your experience? It can also mean that the orange guys grow slower that the reds and get coloured later on. Is that possible? Of course if the first of the above possibilities is true, then my male was homogeuously red fron genetical point of view (both his color determinig genes were red).
