Re: Pls help ID! A. nijsseni or pandurini???

I wonder if the nijsseni and the panduro commonly cross-breed in the wild. I am pretty sure that the fish I have got are wild-caught from peru! (Correct me if I am wrong! => As they live in the nearby flooded forest, they are connected when the rain comes heavily in particular year. So it might have some chance of it cross-breed in the wild! just my two cents! Are the two species really different species or just different color morphs?

I could get the mix of both from the import...I must be double careful not to croos breed them now!

As I mentioned before, I have some frys out of them. The father is not the one in the photo and the female looks like the nijsseni female (a round blotch on her flank, not extended down to her belly!) I will keep my fingers croosed that they are the same species! I will surely try to snap some photos of the pair for you guys soon.
