I use Estee gravel in a couple east African tanks and apparently they left the shells out of mine because I have to work at keeping their pH up. I'm in Philly we have med-hard tap water and I usually start with that and add stuff to it. Anyhow the kind I have is probably better for an Apisto Tank.
