Sounds like a male to me.Females have rounded dorsal , anal fin tips and 
black markings on the ventral fins.Young males and females have a yellowish 
body coloration and are sometimes hard to sex.Only males develop the blueish 
body coloration.females have sometimes blueish facial coloration,but a more 
pale yellow body coloration when not in breeding color .

I bought what was supposed to be a pair of A. trifasciata last
weekend.  I wonder if the female is really an immature male.  Do the
females have any metallic blue coloring on them?  This one does, and
the 3rd, 4th, and 5th dorsal spines are a little higher than the rest.
