breeding tank

Hi all,

I'm in the midst of convertig a show tank that houses my apistos into a 
breeding tank (which I'm very excited about!).  I recently ordered and 
set-up a hydro sponge filter (the tank was running on an eclipse system that 
has a filter intake that would just love to suck in fry).  I was wondering 
if anyone has any proven techniques for quieting that darn little air pump!
