Another approach is to buddy up to your local vet.   They get tons of drug 
shipping boxes that are just perfect (small interior cavity).  Ask them to 
save the cardboard exterior box too.  Tell them you can recycle the box, 
that makes them very happy.   I have 15 or 20 that I don't even know what 
to do with.
