RE: R/O opinions

Another thing you want to remember is your water pressure since you have a
well. Most RO units are rated at 60 pounds of line pressure if my memory
serves me. If your line pressure is less than that you will produce less
product water. If your line pressure is to low, you will not get any
product water. I lived in an apartment where the pressure was only 30
pounds. I was lucky to get any product water at all. I ended up buying a
pressure pump back then that boosted the pressure up to 90 pounds after some
adjusting. Once the pump kicked in the product water flowed out, not just
dripped.

I also recommend spectrapure. I've had mine now for over 5 years and have
never replaced the membrane. It still produces water with 12 ppm, which is
good enough for the apistos I keep. Just remember to replace the sediment
and charcoal filters and it will do fine for you.

Subject: R/O opinions

I'm going to buy an R/O unit this week and wanted to get some opinions
on good and not so good ones. I am looking at the 24GPD size, and I
have well water. With my stock water parameters I am very limited on
apisto species. dGh 10, dKh 6.

Thanks Matt
