A. sp."Maulbrueter".
Hi all,
Here's an update on my pair of A. sp."Maulbrueter".
Ok, I found about 20 new wigglers in the tank this morning. The female dug
up the whole tank, probably to create hiding spots for her fry.She really
likes to dig near plant roots until they are exposed. This will give the fry
probably more spots to hide in.I really think that a fine sand substrate is
important to have in the breeding tank for this species.
I will post pictures of the tank and of the female carrying her wigglers
later today in the Maulbruetr section on my old website.
My pair will be moved to bigger , but similar decorated quarters (20g long)
after this spawn.
I'm really enjoying watching their interesting behavior, very different from
other Apisto species forms.
