that makes sense. Except for a couple tanks my tanks are mostly bare bottom with the Java Moss and caves/clay pots so I can pretty much see what is there. I think people would be surprised to see how much is there if they did have all the gravel or sand on the bottom. Although I must admit it looks attractive which is why I have a couple that way. I use to try to siphon the stuff up off the bottom by putting a coffee filter over the siphon but, that takes forever and once again the Wise Old Master Stepped in and said, "Don't worry about the crap on the bottom." Very poetic my master is huh? Now I just talk to the fish like my kids, "If you don't clean up your room your not getting dinner".<G> I know I'm just a little crazy.
