RE: keeping PH low



Actually, both the cations and anions are being removed. In essence you're getting pure water without all of the added ions such as calcium, magnesium, chlorine, etc. It's even good for removing ammonia in tap water. Great stuff if you're working with apistos.

It stands for De-Ionized water.  If I remembered it correctly, it means
that the cat-ions (spelling) have been removed from the water.
