I've never intentionally used any, but I had a pair of N. Parilius that bred in a community tank (75 gl) with lots of plants and as tank mates I had cardinals, a young spawn of Betta Splendens (20)..Bousmani Rainbow Fish (7) and yellow tail Congo Tetra (8). The parilius were out all the time and spawned twice for me. The Moral of this story is YES, I think that some dither fish will help them feel safer and they will come out more often. Good luck with them. MERRY CHRISTAMS TO ALL AND A HA PPY NEW YEAR..
