Re: Changing a R/O Membrane

Hi Max,

I've always found Randal Bogathy of Dirt Cheap RO to be very helpful with such matters.
His email is Rbogath@aol.com drop him a line and see what he has to say!
Hope that helps!

Hi Group,
It's been quiet here so I figured I ask you a technical question: I've
been operating my R/O unit for almost 3 years without changing the original
membrane. The flow of produce water really slowed down lately. I got a new
membrane last week.
I pulled the old membrane out of the housing and pushed the new one back in.
I reconnected all the hoses but don't get any pressure or produce water. So
far I've operated the unit no longer than a 1/2 hr . I don't want to let it
run for a longer time when I'm not there to watch it. Should I let it run
longer? Do I need to vent the housing somehow?
Did I do anything wrong? Just wonder. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
Max
