I use SA WOW and peat to bring my soft water, which has a natural pH of ~7.2, down to ~6.4 in a fairly heavily planted tank (wisteria and java moss), under moderate light, with large mopani roots leaching their acids and pigments into the mix. The resulting water is golden brown. It is also steady as a rock. Cheers, Shawn
