My experience with fish and color-vision runs more along the lines of bass. They seem to have a "color-of-the-day". I try different colors of lures until I find one that they will hit on. Once I have the right color, it does not seem to matter what style of lure I use, they will hit with regularity. Red is definitely one of those colors. They can tell it from white, black, and grey. I Guarantee it. THe strange part of this is that tomorrow, the color for today is invariably the one color that definitely is a waste of time. And from day to day, or on two days when all conditions seem to be the same, there is no pattern to which one the silly fish are gonna want. Bob Dixon
