Yesterday I picked up a male Apisto. eunotus and after planting
a 30g tank, he was the first guy since I started the tank a few days
ago with a handfull of plants and otos. Anyways, before you know it
I had tossed in a male Apisto. cacatuoides. I thought it would be neat to
have a tank with 3 or 4 male apisto sp with some dithers in a plant tank.
Lots of color and finnage. The eunotus is bigger then the cacatuoides
and man, i had fin displays all over!!! They just swim really slow
following each other, fins an gills flared up. I can imagine what they are
saying to each other. "Hey yo! Punk!", "Hey those fin colors look good...
on a guppie!!". Anyways, they don't seem to be getting physical, but has
anyone else experienced this?? Is it bad news or what? Soon as I see any
violence I will remove the cacatuoides to his old tank.
Thanks.
Mike
