regani males
Mike,
I went to the LFS this evening to sell off some of my double tail bettas- I
checked out the apistos while I was there- there was a tank full of
'assorted apistos'. Turns out most of them were regani- I picked up two
males and brought them home- about five minutes after being in my community
tank the new males started on some serious courting of the now bright yellow
females. I guess they were old enough to sex- I simply didn't have any
males to figure out the difference- It is now very obvious.
I had another look at Linke and Staeck- the regani that are pictured are
both males of differing ecotypes.
