Mergus Verlag states that the English version will not be out until late winter
1999. If Uwe, as I was told, was still editing the English translation in June,
I'd bet that it won't be out until the Spring of 2000. BTW, Uwe told me that the
German 1st edition is now sold out and that he will have a 2nd revised German
edition out about the same time as the English edition. Seems like the English
reading hobbyists are always "a day late and a dollar short". Linke & Staeck's
6th revised edition (in German only) has been completely revamped from what the
English edition (= German 4th rev. ed.) is, with several new species and more
up-to-date information.
