I had the same thing happen with my pair of 'gold' Severums, they spawned
unsuccessfully 12 times before they had a viable spawn.  They were excellent
parents and reared 195 young.  This was their one and only success they had
and that was 5 1/2 years ago.  You didn't mention if yours were Green or
Gold as far as I've heard the Gold's fire a lot of 'blanks'.  My advice to
you is be patient it's worth it.
