| Leon, I take it you are talking about Krib fry - my 
answer is no.  The only 'fry' I know of that eats cucumber is Ancistrus and 
Rineloricara catfish and they are considerately larger than any cichlid 
fry.  I know that placing a slice of cucumber in a tank produces infusoria 
which breeders may do if they are breeding anabantoids as an example, the fry 
don't eat the cucumber but the infusoria the cucumber creates.  Uaru fry 
eat cucumber but not until about 3-4 weeks of age and by then they are big
