GSAS November Meeting Reminder

The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society will be holding its regular, November
Meeting this coming Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 7:30pm on the second floor
of the Seattle Aquarium, pier 59. Parking is available for free on the
street or in the metered spots (after 6:00pm) in the lot across the street.

The emphasis for this month?s meeting is a Lighting Workshop featuring
compact fluorescent Bright Kits from A H Supply. Clay Hess, our GSAS
President, and resident craftsman has built a custom canopy for a 2'x2'x2?
cube tank. Erik Olson will demonstrate how to install a multi-circuited,
Bright Kit setup into the canopy shell. We will also have several examples
of standard aquarium lights showing how simple it is to retro-fit them with
a Bright Kit. So, if you?ve got "dim tank syndrome" around your house, or an
old light shell that has been cast aside, come and learn how to breath new
life into your setup with a compact fluorescent kit.

Also, if you?ve already tried your hand at Aquarium Lighting, bring in your
handiwork. We?d love to see what you?ve done and get new ideas for our next
project!

If that wasn?t enough to get your attention, here?s the best part. A H
Supply has donated a 13 watt Deluxe Bright Kit for a door-prize to be given
to one lucky member this Tuesday evening! So, if you?re a current GSAS
member, don?t miss out on your chance to go home a winner! If you?re not yet
a GSAS member but you?re ready to join, see Bob Holmes (our Membership
Chairperson) before the meeting begins to make sure that your name goes into
the hat as well.

So, please make plans to attend, get involved, and watch our club grow! The
doors open for the general public at 7:00pm so come a little early and get
acquainted with others that share your love for all things aquatic! Check
out our website for directions and other interesting information at
www.gsas.org .

See you there!
