News Flash:
Don Grieg from BAKA will be attending the meeting at Chuck's on March
8th and he has offered to make a presentation on Desert Fishes!!!!
Barry, can this be added to the website meeting page?
Reminder: Please try and bring a pair or two of fish for the exchange
box going out to SKS (Florida) on the Monday following the meeting.
Whatever you can spare will be greatly appreciated (Fish, eggs, unsexed
fry) and will help keep the flow of quality animals through the "system"
of the AKA affiliate clubs, and eventually into our hands. Barry
expressed interest awhile back in some of the Callopanchax fishes and a
few others sounded off on their wish lists, but I certainly have not
heard from everyone as to their one or two species that they REALLY want
to see in these auctions!!
Don and Sue (if she braves the icy passes) may be bringing some fish for
the auction as well up from BAKA, and their stuff is always good stuff.
In addition our friends in the Phoenix area are talking about sending a
few pairs as well. Finally, I am working on getting some "new and rare"
fish, including a large shipment of South American annuals (eggs on
peat) from Argentina!!! Whether they get here in time for the meeting is
anyone's guess!!!
Can someone on the GPAS/GSAS lists forward this on to those folks
please? Can someone up in Washington get the word out to non-email
AKAers as to what is coming up for this meeting?
