[GSAS-Announce] GSAS September 2004 Meeting Reminder - Tuesday, September 14, 2004
The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society will be holding its regular, September
Meeting Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 7:30pm at our NEW LOCATION at
Weter Hall on the beautiful campus of Seattle Pacific University (SPU).
Visit our website (www.gsas.org) for a link providing driving directions to
S.P.U. There you will find an illustrated campus layout with the buildings and
major parking facilities numbered. There is plenty of parking available in the
tiered parking lot (#45 on the map) and our meeting will be in Weter Hall (#28
on the map.) There will also be GSAS signs directing you from the parking lot
to Weter Hall.
This month's meeting will feature an informal, round-table discussion where we
get to know more about each other and hear what you did aquarium-wise over the
summer.
Also, we?re trying something new for our club-year kick-off. Here's a Special
message from Bob Holmes, our 2004-2005 GSAS President...
--------------------------------------------
Hello Everyone.
Well, summer's over and I think we're all anxious to get the 2004 - 05 GSAS
year underway. We're going to try something a little different this year for
our September meeting. To try and add a little "pizazz" to our traditional low
key Fall start up program we're going to try a "mini swap meet." Bring your
extra fish, plants and other aquarium-related SMALL ITEMS to trade or give
away. I'd like to stress at this point that we'd like to keep this experimental
swap meet a sort of laid-back, minor event. Please bring only your extra
livestock, maybe some of your surplus plants and small, easily carried items.
Save your big stuff for the plant and general auctions! The whole idea here is
to promote an atmosphere of relaxed "give-and-take" between members.
See you on the 14th.
Bob
---------------------------------------------------
So, please make plans to attend, get involved, and watch our club grow! The
doors open for the general public at 7:00 so come a little early and get
acquainted with others that share your love for all things aquatic! Check out
our website for directions and other interesting information at www.gsas.org .
We'll see you Tomorrow night!
Rick Rose, GSAS Promotions
