[GSAS-Announce] GSAS September 2005 Meeting Reminder - Tuesday, September 13, 2005
The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society will be holding its regular, September
meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 7:30pm at our regular
meeting location on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.
Our guest speaker this month is Tom Watson. Tom is the Washington State
Representative for the North American Native Fishes Association (NANFA.) He
will be giving us a presentation on "Native Fish." We're in for a real
treat as Tom will be bringing several live, native fish: Speckled Madtoms,
Sawcheek Darters, Lined Topminnows, Dwarf Crawfish, and possibly some Red
Shiners to be used as door-prizes, etc. We also get the unusual treat of
getting to meet the speaker's wife as Tom will be bringing his better-half.
Also, don't forget our pre-meeting meal at Siam on Lake Union. (See my
previous email for further details.) The reservations are "informal," just
so we could get an idea of how many will be attending. So, don't worry if
you haven't let us know yet - there's always plenty of room and we'd love to
have you join us.
So, please make plans to attend, get involved, and watch our club grow! The
doors open for the general public at 7:00pm so come a little early and get
acquainted with others that share your love for all things aquatic! Check
out our website for directions and other interesting information at
www.gsas.org .
We'll see you Tuesday night!
Rick Rose, GSAS Promotions
